Putting all trust into the hands of Jesus Christ takes more than a prayer. More than fasting. It really takes getting to know Jesus. Knowing Jesus like family. Talking to Him daily. Knowing what He is capable of doing and what He will do. Realizing sometimes the answer is no. And then there are the other times that the answer is yes.
Getting to know Jesus isn't really that hard. He is just as close as creating a habit. A habit of talking to your Friend everyday. Finding out what He likes and don't like. Taking your time to figure out what is His favorite things are. Take a walk with Jesus. Talk with Jesus. Get to know Him.
You will want to emulate Him. You will see how Holy Jesus is. Your desire will match His desire.
As you draw closer to Jesus, you will learn to trust Him more and more. As trust is earned, you will find no other one more worthy to be trusted. Jesus has already earned our trust, now it is up to us to understand. Trusting anyone takes time. And it is up to us to figure out that we should take the time for a peace of mind.
Sometimes Jesus will give you a trust tester. Mainly to put everything in God's hands and leave it. It is something that has to be acquired, you must create the habit. And Jesus will help you. The more you trust Him, the more you will Trust Him.
Do yourself a favor and get to know your Father. He loves His Children!
"And he said, The Lord is my rock,
and my fortress, and my deliverer;
The God of my rock; in him will I trust:
he is my shield, and the horn of
my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge,
my saviour; thou savest me from violence.
I will call on the Lord,
who is worthy to be praised:
so shall I be saved from mine enemies."
~2 Samuel 4:18-19
I Give Myself Away
Lord Jesus, I married You years ago. I have decided to link my thoughts to Yours and live my life through You. I have enjoyed myself so much since the first day I met You. This new relationship has changed me in my thoughts, my actions and in my soul. My desire is to do Your will, to see Your plans played out. I so want to be holy because You are holy. Oh, for Your Holiness. . . .
Thank You so much for not expecting me to be perfect. You allow me to be free to make mistakes and even enough so to learn from those mistakes. You have shapened this cold old dreary life into something that can be used to benefit the Kingdom of God.
You have helped me to recognize my weaknesses and recognize what is needed in each trial. I am so blessed to be able to go through these trials and tests to gain a closer relationship with You. Thank You so much Lord for choosing me; seeing something in me worth keeping, when the world was ready to toss me aside. I sincerely thank you.
I have a cell phone in front of me with hundreds of numbers on it. Contacts from various social circles. Most of which I could call at any time and talk, yet, I yearn to talk to You. What could benefit me to talk to anyone else but You? Who could council me as You? Who would care as much as You? Who could possible know how I feel but You?
I love you Lord Jesus, because You taught me to love. Because You love me, my heart sings!
Thank You Lord Jesus!
"As the hart panteth after the water brooks,
so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God?"
~ Psalm 42:1-2
Things Do Work Out
In my small world as I do my daily duties of cleaning, I don’t worry about the little things. Little things like cobwebs in the basement, magazines on the coffee table, and water spots on my silverware. In fact I never had water spots on my silverware until one day . . .
As a Sister in the church diligently dried the church silverware after a dinner, she said she couldn’t stand water spots on silverware it just drove her nuts.
Now, I tell you today, I never had water spots on my silverware before. I really didn’t. I have done the dishes for years, by hand, and let them drip dry then put them away. No water spots. Zero, zilch, none. But just as soon as water spots were mentioned, I thought about them, and sure enough, the very next day I had water spots. I was surprised, even shocked at the sight. I went from no water spots to water spots that plagued my silverware.
So here was my predicament; what was I to do now that I have water spots? Will they bother me? Will they dictate to me to dry all of my silverware every time I wash them? Will I be ashamed if guests seen my water spots?
Water spots are so much like our past. Yes, the very thing that plagues us from time to time. It’s there and yet we don’t recognize it. We are not looking for it and yet sometimes our past reaches up to grab us by surprise and we are stunned by it. Then the forgotten failures and the forgotten hurts show up to slap us around. For years you went without those memories, untouched by them, day by day. Until something provoked them; was it something someone said, was it a scent, an event? Something happened and these water spots of memories came to be noticed once again. They are hindering, they are annoying, and they are here.
Okay, you have a choice. Do you allow them to stay? Will you allow them to dictate to you creating a different life, battered down, controlled by your past failures, your past hurts? Or will you decide to conquer those determined memories?
God allows past hurts to be brought back to our memory to give us a chance to fix them.
To have victory over the past, we must forgive. Yes, forgive. Past memories that are hurtful or bring a not so good feeling to us means there is unforgiveness in our lives and we must confront that and allow forgiveness to be brought into that situation. We are hindered by unforgiveness.
Steps to become a conqueror:
1.) Pray and ask our Lord Jesus for direction
2.) Pray for those who caused the hurt
3.) Pray for yourself that you will forgive them
4.) Fast for the victory
5.) Repeat steps 1- 4 daily
Before you realize it, your past water spots will be wiped away with God's victory. Yes, your victory.
Each time the past shows up splattering those water spots, remember it is unforgiveness and you can be an overcomer! Just as Jesus helped you defeat your past before He can do it again.
This is something that Jesus brought forth from the past for you to work on, Jesus will help you. And as you work through these memories let it enhance you, strengthen you and make you wiser.
I resolved that the water spots on my silverware will not hinder me. I continue to do my dishes in the same fashion, and today I do not have any water spots. Once in a while I will notice the water spots. But when I ignore them and they just seem to fade away; I just admire the shiny silverware I'm used to.
"But thanks be to God, which giveth us
the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
~ 1 Corinthians 15:57
Ask Me for a Fish
Ask me for a fish, I can feed you for a day,
Ask me for a dollar and soon it will go away.
Ask me for some help and I can do what I can,
Ask me for advice and you get what saith man.
Ask me for clothes and I will search for you,
Ask me for a ride and I will see what I can do.
Ask me for anything and this is what you get,
Ask me for anything and I pray you no regrets
For I am but a human, and I am so limited to do,
Why not ask of the Lord Jesus, our God for you?
Ask Him for a fish and He will feed your spirit for years,
Ask Him for a dollar and He will teach you, no fears.
Ask Him for some help and He will meet you there,
Ask Him for advice and wisdom will He declare.
Ask Him for clothes and He will provide more than that,
Ask Him for a ride and He will show you where it’s at.
Anything you ask of Him, Jesus will go beyond what you think,
Seek and find these things with Him and you'll go beyond the brink.
You make the decisions that line that dusty road,
It’s your burdens and toils that you choose to hold.
Boarding in the Kingdom where He prepared the called,
Your choice, in the day you die where you are hauled.
Ask of Him who is able to carry you through,
Ask Him who beckons you, the right thing-do.
"Ask and it shall be given you;
seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"
~ Matthew 7:7
Trust or Worry?
Which one do you choose?
Trust you will win,
Worry you lose.
Trust is a must when you think on the Lord
Worry is a game you really can't afford
Trust puts peace deep down in your life
Worry is nothing but a life of strife
Trust reveals an inner holy sanctuary
Worry reveals an inner deadly mortuary
Trusting Jesus is the wise thing to do
Worrying is what the others will choose
"But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice:
let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them:
let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee."
~ Psalm 5:11
Follow the Leader
Lord, Create in our Sons Men
We know, O’ Lord, that thou can make what You will. We desire sons who become men.
Men who will worship You without reservation. Pure and just before you. We pray that you put a love for truth in their hearts and a desire to read Your Word daily. We pray you but a boldness in their walk with You to stand up for Your Truth and never waiver.
Jesus, help our sons pick out wives that are also as pure and just, so that their children as well will acquire those same traits. Let their wives know how to be virtuous and shamed faced. Let them be good mothers and wives.
Lord God, we pray you continually grow our men into men of valor: Steady and unshakable in their relationship with You. Grant upon them as they mature, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, truth and strength. Bless them with your Anointing. Anoint their works.
Moreover, I pray that our sons become a great witness for You so that others will also know who You are and be blessed by Your Holy Ghost. Let them have compassion for our fellow man
Let us all be holy and acceptable unto You, Lord Jesus, and Your will. Help us to carry with us the fruits of Your Spirit. We love You O’ Lord and Praise Your Holy Name, Jesus.
Lord, I plead your blood upon our sons and I pray your will be done.
"I will therefore that men pray every where,
lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."
~ 1 Timothy 2:8
Building Up the Temple
With the ongoing construction at the elementary school behind my house, I paused to consider the construction process. The requirement many heavy machines, materials and manpower. This school project isn't going to be finished over night, that is for sure. First, they have to tear things down before they could even begin the renovation. I am anxious to see how it will all turn out.
Well, as I was pondering this, I recalled how, when Solomon built God His first structure temple, he was very meticulous in creating this masterpiece. God had a specific blueprint for them to follow, but there was more. The way it was to be constructed was quite a feat as well.
The plans were to create the blocks, support poles, drapery, etc away from the construction site. There wasn't to be one hammer hammering on the site. No loud noises was allowed. Nothing was to be created on site. They had to make their portion of the temple in their workshops and only bring it when the finished products were ready to put in place. God have had very skilled labor to create this temple of high honor. Various people of talent stepped forward to complete this temple out of the kindness of their own heart.
There is also a builder among us. His blueprints are ordained from above and He is the Master Builder. God created in us a means to house the Holy Ghost. We can carry the Spirit of God in us. God says in the scriptures that we are the Temples of God. Jesus in us. Ever since the New Testament church, anybody who is willing, can receive the Holy Ghost.
The Lord is the maker of the Tabernacle, which is your body. You house the Holy Ghost and with that the Master Builder builds from the inside to the outside. True repentance and then getting baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins helps to remove that old junk out of the temple before the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
The Master Builder knows how things cannot be hammered into place, the materials must be meticulously placed in strategic places, at the right time. God knows all of these things, in each one of us, at our own pace. Major complex work, yet true.
Trust God to build that Tabernacle in You!
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God,
and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"
~ 1 Corinthians 3:16
“Take my advice, I'm not using it."
We all have heard it, even seen it, perhaps lived it. Sometimes we don't even hear the phrase, but that is what your friends, family and peers want you to do. Talk shows are promoting something for you to take their advice.
Magazines, books, news. Take their advice. Listen to them, do what they inspire you to do. Be a part of the "in" crowd. Be a part of the "out" crowd. Be yourself, but, do it our way. Right or Wrong, it's out there.
Most people believe everything they read. If it is in print, then it must be true. Most people believe everything they hear. When the information comes from someone they like. And most people seek advice from those who are popular.
Years ago they said you shouldn't eat eggs because they give you high cholesterol. They say that now eggs are good for you. They say . . . they say . . . . they say . . . . who exactly are they? And who gave them the authority to say anything about anything? Society says you have a freedom of speech. So anyone can say anything about anything. Even judgment is advice in reserves.
Do you have a line you draw? Do you actually check to see if any info or advice is worth using?
Do you realize that the History books that are used today are bias. We read one side of the facts. There really is another side to the story and then there is the truth. Yet, all we know for sure is that someone said it was the truth and then wrote the history book.
Where do you go for advice? Try going to the one resource we have for the fullness of truth; the Holy Bible! The Bible says:
"The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations." ~ Psalm 33:10-11
Yes, the Bible itself is beckoning you to take it's advice. Listen to Good Counsel, and become wise in the Lord. The Holy Bible has been proven over and over again to be true and just. It is written by many writers yet only one Author, as the Author told His secretaries what to write. The Holy Bible has survived many persecutions and has prevailed centuries. In Its pages you will find everlasting life. Truth for Eternity. In Its pages you will find peace for your soul and maturity.
"Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory." ~ Psalm 73:24
You can be lackadaisical and not read the Word of God, but then, your soul will be in a man's hand, to whomever you decide to heed the advice of. You should always study to make sure what you are hearing is true. And coupled with studying, you need to always pray first. Earnestly desiring the truth of God. That is true advice. That is a true and sincere account of reality. We are put upon this earth to Worship Jesus, our Creator.
So I say unto you today: "Take my advice, I'm using it, I don't mind sharing it and it works!"
"Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
~ Psalm 107:8-9
An emergency is just that, an emergency. Urgent, high priority, immediate. When you go to the hospital, and it's an emergency, you'd go to the emergency room. And if you weren't taken by ambulance, one of the first things they do is they would take vital signs of your body to indicate the level of threat to your life. And if they deem you could wait, then you would be instructed to go tot he waiting room until they called you back into a Emergency room, preferably private, where you would wait again for an available nurse.
During which they will take your information down so they know who to bill. The nurse will come in and instruct you what to do next until the doctor could see you. The doctor then would call for a series of tests and perhaps start some sort of medicine. The nurse would come back and perhaps start the IV process by inserting a needle into one of your arms and a phlebotomist would come in and draw blood if needed. Then perhaps x ray technicians, perhaps a ct scan. Then your nurse would come in and follow up on the doctor's orders. And if you aren't too bad you will have to wait a while for the doctor to come back in and tell you the diagnosis.
Now, at this point the doctor may order a few more tests to pin point the location of problem and tell you the results. Then all depending what it is as to whether they will continue to treat you or send you home. If they continue to treat you, then they find a room and keep you until they are satisfied that you are well enough to go home. if you are well enough to go home then most of the time they instruct you to follow up with your doctor the next business day.
So, you get the picture. That is how the ER at hospitals work. Well, according to what I have experienced.
Now, let us review how a Spiritual Emergency Room works:
You have a need, it's urgent, life changing, and yet most of the time you don't know even realize it. You know you need something that is missing, but you cannot pinpoint what it is.
God is preparing a way for you before you decided to go to the spiritual hospital.
Someone invites you to the House of God, or perhaps you were drawn to church.
You step inside and you start to feel something different.
All sorts of nurses are treating you with kindness.
The service starts with music and encouragement. Again, you feel good, yet, you are not sure what you are feeling. Then prayer is offered for those who are sick, and offering is taken up for the work of God. All the while you watch.
Then the preaching starts. Something about that preaching that gets to you. How did he know that about you, yet he spoke it like as if he read it out of your diary. Something inside you is moving and you have no idea why. You try to control your emotions but it is difficult. You think you are okay. Yet your world is falling apart before your eyes. The Lord compels you to go to the altar. You hold on to the pew as hard as you can so that you won't move. You're scared. You are really unsure what to do. Then finally you cannot fight this urge and you go to the altar. You fall to your knees broken and without any reservations, weep bitterly.
The saints of God (nurses) surround you in love. Praying for you, praying for God to move in your situations. You've allowed the Lord to direct your path to the altar. You ask for help. God seen your need and had made a way for you long before you got to this place.
You start to regain your senses and realize that you have poured your heart out to God and the saints encourage you to praise God. For they know you have just decided to change your life and you then are in need of the Holy Ghost.
They have seen this before, they know the right steps for you to take for preventative steps so that your spiritual state won't be so destitute again. They tell you, if you will praise the Jesus for all He has done and all that He is, He will reside in you, for an ever present help in time of need.
You praise Him and something is occurring within you. You feel very light hearted. Your focus becomes upon God and before you know it, you are speaking in another language that you have never learned before. You hear yourself. You are in awe because of this transformation in your life. Jesus just begun to dwell in your body. People around you are rejoicing at your new found relationship with Jesus. You are exuberant.
A saint comes up to you and asks if you have been baptized. You say yes. Then they ask you how you were baptized. You say you don't remember. They say that most people get baptized in the three major titles of Jesus. The saint informs you this is the not the way Jesus has intended for anyone to be baptized. That saint further tell you that you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. And remission means forgiveness.
You agree to be re-baptized. You get baptized in Jesus' name and when you come out of the water you become exuberant all over again. Speaking in that Heavenly language, feeling cleaner than you have ever been before. You actually felt a difference this time. You are so thankful for a change in your life.
You go home and see your situations hasn't changed at all. But, YOU have. You see things differently now. You see that those problems won't kill you. You see hope in the distance.
You recognize the need to refresh yourself in the Holy Ghost daily in order to keep that clean feeling. In order to continually keep Jesus inside you. In order to get your sins remitted.
You recognize the need to read the Holy Book and feel it living and breathing inside of you.
You love to pray and talk to God. Praying for others and communing with our Almighty Creator.
You go back to the "Hospital" as much as the doors are open. You find that after a while of being treated by the Doctor in charge, that you can help someone else. You become one of those nurses(saints).
"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
~ 1 Peter 5:7
With painful extraction, You gave
For Your chosen creation to save
We're so lost within
To forgive us our sin
The Blood clearly shows a way paved
That Blood you can apply today
As means to take your sins away
In Jesus' Holy Name
Baptized in the Same
Reborn as the scriptures doth say.
That pure Blood applied I am free
A freedom that only can be
From Jesus a gift
With our hands we lift
The bond is sweet liberty
"For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." ~ Matthew 26:28
Listening to Voices
Minding my own business heading down the Interstate to pick up my son from camp, I find my self suddenly at a dead stop. It had been a stressful day and I wasn't feeling good so the stop was actually a comfort. I was stopped for about ten minutes and I texted my husband and a friend that I was stuck on I-70.
I was okay for the first hour. Listening to my music, praying, and thinking. Texting my friends and husband. I kept getting this question from them: "Why don't you turn around and go down 40."
I told them I would rather wait it out. I wasn't feeling well still and didn't want to do that.
I finally got out of the van and asked my new neighbors if they knew what was going on. Nobody knew. So I finally text a friend who said she would get back to me. Two friends were at camp and they told me they turned around and took another route.
At the end of the second hour, my friend whom I texted got back to me and said there was two wrecks and it could be while.
I told my new neighbor who became my friend from Pennsylvania what I learned and we both agreed to turn around and take a different route.
We got back into our vehicles and started down a third lane which was the dirt shoulder of the road and had access to a turn around for police use.
Well, we got about half way there and a lady pulled out of her position and cut across the grass. All of this unfolding before my eyes. She just got to the other lanes and was ready to pull out into traffic when a police officer turned on his lights and stopped her. I thought wow, am I going to get it. Big time. I was frightened that I was next. All the while I was praying, Lord please don't let me get a ticket. Please don't let me get a ticket. I was scared to death.
The police officer left and I politely asked one of my neighbors if I could cut in line ahead of him. I told him my intentions was to turn around. But then I found out that that wasn't legal as evident of the recent scene. He said that wasn't a problem, he was planning on doing the same.
So I was nervous about sitting out in the third lane, I had to wait there until traffic moved. I felt like a complete fool. I so wished that I had waited a little while longer, because not more than fifteen minutes later the traffic started moving and we were through within twenty minutes.
I thought, why on earth did the traffic move just after I had tried an uneventful turn around. And that is when the Lord started to truly minister to me.
We are in the line of life and in this line sometimes we have to wait. Regardless what the wait is, we should be patient and content just to wait. And while we are waiting, sometimes we say too much to initiate advice from some of our friends who mean well.
This advice may not be what God wants us to do, but because we talk too much and we become wearied by the same advice over and over to that point where we step out to use that "great" advice.
By not waiting, we lose our place in line and have to re-enter humbly. God sees we are out of line and graciously reminds us to get back in line, by some kind of warning. He loves us that much to chastise us.
And when we line up to the Word of God again, then we see that this waiting paid off because the traffic is moving again.
God in His awesome wisdom sees our needs and individually meets our needs, even if it is getting us back in line.
So next time your trial seems too much to bear, don't give up, because God has something for you. And if you really need to talk to someone for advice, go to a person who has a prayer life and wisdom. And earnestly pray that the Lord will give them a word for you. So when you go to talk to that person, they will give you a Word of Wisdom. This: "Word of Wisdom" (a spiritual gift) it is from God and will help you to grow and get stronger.
But if you decide to ask for advice from others and when you listen to this advice that wasn't meant for you and you act upon it. Don't get discouraged, we all make mistakes. Just be willing to say, I made a mistake and I want to make it right.
We have all been there and will probably visit again. : ) We're Human.
I'm telling you, I am so grateful that I didn't get a ticket!
"I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons." ~ Psalm 16:7
A Day Late and a Dollar Short
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths.”
~ Proverbs 3:5-6
A day late and a dollar short! That is what I told a friend the other day.
It seems as if, well, actually it is the fact that we, my family and I, are either: too late, too early or too poor. Seriously. Whatever the occasion, we have missed it. We are never in the group that gets to go; gets to participate; gets to join in. We are usually left in the cold without anyone caring. And no, this is no pity party. It is just a fact of life. It has happened repeatedly.
Now, this would be a pity party had Jesus not talk to me at the beginning and tell me that I didn’t need that to survive. If I needed to be a part of that group, I would have done that. Jesus has my back. And perhaps my attitude would have superseded my spiritual walk and I wouldn’t have been happy with that at all. God knew that I was mature enough to handle disappointments. He also knew I would listen to His directions and grow from these experiences.
My children seem to be indifferent to these circumstances. Sometime they would question me. I just tell them, during times like them, we need to find something to do that will make us happy to get over the disappointment. They are wise children. They do move on. They see me move on daily, beyond the hurts and pains of abuse. My children have a strong head on their shoulders as I teach them daily about what should be going on and why this is happening.
Trusting God is the bottom line. WE MUST TRUST GOD! There isn’t any way around it. Jesus knows exactly what is going on; God knows the beginning from the end. He knows what is best for us, even though we don’t understand. We can’t see that but that is where our faith in God comes in. We know by reading God’s Word and Listening to the preached Word of God. God is the Almighty God Who has a plan and is quite able to carry out this plan without our worries.
Yes, we are a day late and a dollar short, but Jesus is right on time and has all we need.
Wisdom in Trusting
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
~ Joshua 1:8
I shall think on the Words of God. That, in turn, will create in me a wisdom that only God can develop. We, as children of God are not fools by any measure. Yet, Satan continually tries us as if we were just born yesterday.
My body hurts and I don't know what is going on. I trust You Jesus. My house is being foreclosed on, I trust You Jesus. My BFF has severe medical issues, I trust You Jesus. My spouse abuses me, I trust You Jesus. My teenagers are going through hormonal changes, I trust You Jesus. Bills are insurmountable, I trust You Jesus. People just seem to use me, I trust You Jesus.
No matter what happens in my life, I trust You Jesus. Why? Wisdom.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths." ~ Proverbs 3:5-6
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." ~ Colossians 3:16
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." ~ James 3:17-18
"But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee." ~ Psalm 5:11
"And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." ~ Psalm 9:10
"As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him." ~ Psalm 18:30
Trusting in God is wisdom. Wisdom in God is trust.
Let Jesus help. All that is required of you is one, believe. And two, repent. When you turn from the course you were heading because you realize that it is the wrong way, that is repentance and then you allow the Lord to lead you down the lighted path through the Word of God.
You'll see the need to be baptized in Jesus name and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Jesus' Spirit dwelling in you.
You pray to Jesus in ways you never have done before. You desire more of Him, so much more that you are willing to sacrifice your daily routine just to be near Jesus once again.
Trials? Don’t allow it to be a calamity, you know the Way Maker.
Pain? Don’t let it be a catastrophe, you know the Healer.
Persecution? Don’t let it be a disaster, you know the Rescuer.
Mourning? Don’t let it be a devastation, you know the Comforter.
Whatever you are going through, Jesus holds authority over it.
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." ~ 2 Peter 3:9
Remorse is good. Remorse is a sign of maturity. Remorse is a sign of humanity. Without remorse we would all live like animals. Pride snuffs out remorse. Pride, one of the elements in rebellion, a sign of witchcraft. Pride would be considered the number one factor in people not being saved or staying saved. Salvation can be retained and detained by humility. if you cannot contain humility then pride will snuff out your peaceful eternity.
Repentance is turning from your wicked ways(your selfish ways) and with remorse. Remorse: deep and painful regret for wrongdoing; compunction.
Repentance is required to be one of the chosen of God. Child of God, to have a relationship with God. To be saved, having salvation. Everything starts for you with repentance.
". . .repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." ~ Acts 2:38
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men,in that he hath raised him from the dead. " ~ Acts 17:30
